What we run the shows on

The printer, the scanner, the lights, the camera, the mic, the pedal and the supplies Vaultman uses five nights a week — nothing here we have not bought with our own money and used on a live show. Any 4 × 6 thermal printer QZ Tray can drive works for the tags and the slips; these are the ones we would buy again.

The plain truth: some of these links are affiliate links. When you buy through one, Vaultman may earn a small commission, at no cost to you. It never changes what we recommend, and nothing on this page was sent to us for free.

  • Tag & slip printer
    Rollo wireless thermal printer

4 × 6 packing slips and 2 × 1 sold tags from the same printer, no ink, no toner; it prints a tag the moment a lot sells and a slip the moment a box is packed. The app's DRY RUN tag proves it in ten seconds.

  • Labels
    2 × 1 inch direct thermal labels, 4 × 6 slips

Fan-fold for the slips so the printer never runs dry mid-show; rolls for the tags. Any brand that says "direct thermal" — the printer does the rest.

  • Scanner
    A wireless 2D barcode scanner

Scans the tag's QR at the counter, on the show table and at the packing bench; the app takes the scan with no field focused. Bluetooth to the phone, USB dongle to the laptop.

  • Lights
    Two soft LED panels

Coins are mirrors: two panels at 45° kill the glare and show the luster; a ring light alone puts a halo on every slab. Bi-colour so the gold reads gold.

  • Camera
A phone on a boom arm, or a 4K webcam with manual focus

Manual focus is the whole point: autofocus hunts on a slab. A boom arm over the table gives the top-down shot buyers trust.

  • Mic
    A USB dynamic mic

A dynamic mic hears you and not the room; the shop's air conditioning and the printer stay out of the stream.

  • Foot pedal
    A USB foot switch

Mapped to the app's Sold key, so your hands stay on the coin and the camera. Any switch that sends a key works.

  • Supplies
Flips, slab boxes, bubble mailers, a scale

A scale the app can read the weight from at intake; 2 × 2 flips and slab boxes for the stock; padded mailers for the slips to go out in.

  • Your own website
    Shopify

The app keeps a Shopify store in step with your stock — a piece sells on a show, the listing comes down; it sells online, the piece leaves the safe. Start a store here if you have none.

Already have a printer? Keep it. Anything QZ Tray drives prints the tags — the first show is the test, and the DRY RUN tag under Settings proves the printer before the show.
